Fun Fun Fun Fest was just that Saturday, Nov. 8, when El-P and Mark Kozelek met prior to sets by Run the Jewels and Sun Kil Moon.Here was the encounter from El-P's perspective, according to Stereogum:"So I introduced myself and said, 'Hey, I'm a fan. We're the guys that are going to be interrupting your set today with how f--king loud our crowd is.' [...] And he said, 'What's your name?' And I said, 'Run the Jewels,' and — I swear to God — he said, 'Suck my d--k, Run the Jewels.' And I said, 'Suck my d--k, Sun Kil Moon.' And I'm actually a fan of this dude's record."El-P then asked the crowd to chant, "Suck my d--k, Sun Kil Moon." Before moving onto the next song, El-P reiterated, "We mean that with all due respect. I'm actually a fan of your music." -

Last week Run The Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P) dropped their sophomore LP RTJ2, and now the duo has launched a global street art project in support of the album called "Tag the Jewels." They enlisted 30 artists across six continents to create and share their rendition of the album cover. The original cover was created by Nicholas Gazin and features one hand forming a gun with its fingers and the other hand clenched, handing over a hold necklace. -

Run The Jewels' Cat Remix Of 'RTJ2,' 'Meow The Jewels,' Officially Funded On Kickstarter
Last month, El-P and Killer Mike's Run The Jewels announced a number of ridiculous fake pre-order packages for their upcoming album RTJ2. One of them was a package called "Meow the Jewels," which was described as a remixed version of RTJ2 "using nothing but cat sounds for music." One fan decided he would make a Kickstarter to raise the $40,000 needed to purchase the package, and because El-P has a sense of humor, he agreed to take on the project if it got funded. Surprisingly, it actually did reach its funding goal, and El-P has kept his word. -
