  • Lil Wayne Disses Young Thug For 'Carter 6' Album Cover, Thugger Responds: "I Will Never Beef With Him" [WATCH]

Let's be honest, it's a little weird that Young Thug is naming his new album, Carter 6, while his supposed "idol" Lil Wayne waits in label limbo for his Carter V to be released. Although it is seemingly out of respect for the elder rapper, the timing seems a little disrespectful. Wayne has been quiet about the situation since Thug first announced his decision to do a Carter 6 through 10 and carry on Wayne's legacy, but now he's made his feelings clear: he thinks it's disrespectful.
  • Young Thug Shares 'Carter 6' Release Date, Artwork

Young Thug has shared the release date and cover artwork for his belligerently titled new album 'Carter 6.' The "Stoner" rapper revealed the information in a Instagram post with the album title and cover, captioning the picture of him shirtless and bathed in a red light spotlight "#c6otw 4/17." The title comes as Young Thug and Lil Wayne's beef becomes more protracted with Weezy's 'Tha Carter V' stuck in legal purgatory -- Exhibit A in the $51 million lawsuit leveled at Birdman and Cash Money Records that was recently moved to New Orleans. Check out the presumed cover below on Thugger's Instagram.
  • Gucci Mane Releases 'Trap House 5 (The Final Chapter)'

It is April 7 and Gucci Mane has released another full mixtape without having even been in a studio for the better part of two years. It had been nearly two weeks without new Guwop and the world was starting to tilt a little off its axis, but good thing the Atlanta rapper and his tireless team has set things straight with another mixtape release. Gucci has released his new mixtape 'Trap House 5 (The Final Chapter),' suggesting he is retiring the Trap House series. The mixtape is largely just an exposé of Guwop trap music, but he does bring on some of his favorite collaborators, including Chief Keef, Young Thug and Peewee Longway.
  • Young Thug Releases 'Check' Music Video

Louisiana rapper Young Thug, real name Jeffrey Williams, has unveiled the music video for his new song "Check" that will appear on his upcoming album, controversially titled Carter 6. Directed by Thugger and Be El Be, the video takes you inside Young Thug's tour bus that is nearly overflowing with his crew and stacks of 100s. You would think that he got paid for each gig in cash, which is how he was able to create such a video and probably isn't the smartest move if you want to keep your money safe, but alas Williams did not hire us as financial advisors. Having all of those 100s looks pretty baller.
  • Young Thug To Name Next Project 'Carter 6,' Lil Wayne's Daughter Calls Him Out

Now it's looking as if Carter 6 might drop before Wayne's fifth installment as he continues to battle Young Money to have his effort released. You'd think that Thugger might've switched gears in light of Wayne's current predicament, but it appears as if he is going forward with the title.
