A Perfect Circle Releases New Song: Is New Album Far Behind? [LISTEN]
A Perfect Circle has a tightly knit compilation of fans that either dig the band's ability to go from stomping menace to melodic lullaby, or they're Tool fans that need something to tide them over until vocalist Maynard James Keenan comes around. Tool hasn't released anything since 2006, and Circle since 2004, so those fans are thirsty for something (Keenan's other band, Puscifer, has put out two albums, but Music Times doesn't find them up to snuff). The kind-of good news is that A Perfect Circle released a new track, "By and Down," on October 14. -

Rumour Has It Adele Considering Residency in Las Vegas...for $40 Million
Adele may be performing a slew of dates in the United States next year, but that doesn't mean the British vocalist will be going on tour. According to rumors given to The Sun in London, the "Rolling in The Deep" songstress is fielding offers from several Las Vegas casinos with offers to perform a residency. There's no word on how many shows the gig would entail, but the payment is said to be in the $40 million range. Elton John has been advising Adele in support of the deal, the source added. -

Kentucky rockers Cage The Elephant stopped by Late Show with David Letterman last night in support of their latest album, Melophobia (read our review here). They took the stage to sing the album's single, "Come a Little Closer," after which Letterman proceeded to freak out. The song got him so riled him that he just wanted to go "get in a fight or something." -
See The Setlist For Neutral Milk Hotel's First Show In 15 Years
Last night, Neutral Milk Hotel and Jeff Mangum reunited for their first U.S. show in 15 years at St. John's Church in Baltimore for a crowd of 500 fans. According to Consequence of Sound (via Jasper Colt), the band played an 18-song set, which spanned material from Everything Is (1994) to On Avery Island (1996) to In the Aeroplane Over the Sea (1998). -
Pearl Jam Will Be The Soundtrack To The World Series
Are you a fan of Pearl Jam? Are you a baseball die-hard? Looks like 2013 is your year. The Seattle band has signed a partnership with Fox Sports to license 48 Pearl Jam songs for the 2013 World Series coverage. Their music will be featured on opening teases, commercial transitions and montages from Oct. 23 to Oct. 31 as well as in promotional slots throughout the month of November as "artist of the month." -
