Robert Plant ripped into the UK Album Charts this week, but the former Led Zeppelin frontman's latest solo album couldn't keep England away from In The Lonely Hour. For the fourth non-consecutive week Sam Smith topped the UK's Offical Album Charts, trailed closely by Plant's Lullaby and the Ceaseless Roar.

According to The Official Charts Company, Smith's debut album, which was released overseas in May, vaulted back up the charts thanks to his high profile headlining performance at the iTunes Festival on Sept. 9.

Smith just barely edged out Plant, who was leading the album sales into the "eleventh hour," as Official Charts points out. Exact numbers are not given on the UK album charts, but it seems as though Smith edged Plant out by just a hair, leading to his fourth week on the top of the charts.

Beneath the Smith juggernaut and Plant's Lullaby and the Ceaseless Roar, longtime UK chart topper X by Ed Sheeran sits at No. 3, followed by Royal Blood's selt-titled album at No. 4 and George Ezra's Wanted on Voyage at No. 5.

The UK album chart was filled with new releases this week, particularly in the top 10. Ryan Adams' new album Ryan Adams debuted at No. 6, and Interpol's fifth studio album (and return to form) El Pintor debuted at No. 9.

Sandwiched in between the two new releases, Bob Marley's Legend returned to the top 10 for the first time in 30 years at No. 7, thanks to the landmark anniversary.

Paolo Nutini's Caustic Love and Stars' Collabro round things out at Nos. 8 and 10, respectively.
