Reba McEntire and Jennifer Hudson wowed the crowd with their duet cover on the latter's talk show.

On Thursday, May 2, Hudson welcomed the country music icon to her The Jennifer Hudson Show, during which they delivered a powerful rendition of "I'm a Survivor."

The hit track has been serving as the theme song of McEntire's sitcom, Reba.

The show uploaded an Instagram reel capturing the singers' performance as they spoke about the long-running sitcom, which ended nearly two decades ago. Hudson also asked the 69-year-old country crooner why she thought many people loved the track.

"I think the reason why so many people can connect with the song 'I'm a Survivor' is because it's relatable. I know you find the same thing in the songs you sing," McEntire said. "If people can relate to it, they can connect to it. And I'm a survivor - I mean, a woman who is working hard doing two jobs and raising kids."

Hudson, who proclaimed she was also a fan of the song, explained how "I'm a Survivor" touched her spirit.

The American Idol Season 3 finalist then sang the song together with keyboardist Wayne Linsey.

Two decades after Reba ended, McEntire disclosed her potential return to TV with another sitcom called Happy's Place.

"We've shot the pilot on NBC and we're just waiting patiently, sorta, if they're going to take it to series or not," McEntire continued. "So fingers crossed, everybody! Pretty please!"

Reba McEntire Gears Up for Her New Project

According to Deadline, Happy's Place will follow McEntire as Bobbie, who inherits her father's restaurant and tavern after his death.

"We're in our sophomore year now. It's doing well: We, of course, have to make changes, adjust, and we're learning. But it's still the best chicken fried steak I've ever had in my life. And I had the meatloaf night before last night, and it was really good," said Reba, per The Oklahoman.

The sitcom's pilot reportedly includes her boyfriend, Rexx Linn.

McEntire's pal, Melissa Peterman, will reportedly join her project again after costarring in the 2001 TV series while Kevin Abbott, Mindy Schultheis and Michael Hanel - the executive producers of Reba - will work together again alongside Julie Abbott.
