New Wave duo Tears for Fears have announced the deluxe reissue of their second album Songs from the Big Chair.

Consequence of Sound has reported that the re-release will come in a variety of formats, including a box set of six discs that feature four CDs with some unreleased material, two DVDs, a 30-page tour program, a book of rare photos and a mix done by producer Steven Wilson.

The "Super Deluxe Edition" will go for $85.

Other packages for the reissue include one CD, a two-disc edition and a vinyl LP. Pre-orders for all formats are being taken.

The album, which came out in 1985 and was the first introduction of the band to the U.S., was a huge success and remains the band's most commercially successful record.

Singles included "Shout," "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," "Head Over Heels" and "Mothers Talk."

"Tears for Fears sounds a lot like a lot of other British bands," Rolling Stone wrote about the album. "On the group's second album you can hear U2's social conscience, the Bunnymen's echoing guitars and XTC's contorted pop wit, as well as lead singer Curt Smith's version of the affected sob that's run through art rock from Yes to Spandau Ballet. Apparently, these elements have not been borrowed consciously but absorbed naturally — which is worse: they can't help it if you've heard it all before."

Tears is currently getting ready to release their seventh album and recently wrapped up a small tour in Portland Sept. 27, where the band treated fans to a cover of Radiohead's 1992 single "Creep."
