It's a Girl for Bucky Covington and Fiance' Katherine Cook

Last Friday, while most of us were getting ready for the last work day of the week, Bucky Covington was getting ready for a different kind of labor - the walk into fatherhood. Bucky and his fiance', Katherine Cook, welcomed their first child, Kennedy Taylor Covington, into the world.

His happy tweet read, "Kennedy Taylor has arrived! Mom and baby are both doing well!" and he told People Magazine, "We are beyond excited to start our life as a family and can’t wait to see what adventures this little blessing has in store for us. The nursery is done, the bags were packed and I Googled how to get to the hospital. This parenthood thing is pretty easy so far!"

Coming into the world at 6 lbs., 12 oz., and measuring 18 inches long, baby Kennedy and her proud parents stayed in the hospital for two days and then took the trip home. The following day, Bucky was at Old Natchez Country Club, golfing for A Soldier's Child Foundation. https://www.facebook.com/asoldierschild Luckily for him, the Operation: Celebrity Chip-In Golf Scramble was held in Franklin, so he was only about 20 minutes from home and could return to full-time dadhood by bedtime.
