The royal family is just like any other family out there. There seems to be a bit of a notion that being part of the monarchy means things are easier, when in fact some of the battles that occur behind the scenes are uglier than a Kardashian fight playing out in the media. Usually when we are talking about royal feuds, Camilla Parker Bowles is somehow involved because her long-standing resentment of Kate Middleton is epic, but she is not the only one who cannot stand the duchess. Apparently, Princess Beatrice feels constantly overshadowed by Prince William's wife, and so her comments do not usually reach all the way across the pond.

The problem seems to be that Beatrice feels upstaged by Middleton at every turn. Sources say she was gearing up to officially announce her engagement to Dave Clark when Middleton's second pregnancy was announced instead. This slight caused Beatrice to back up a few steps, but her comments have not gone unnoticed this time.

Express reports:

"Beatrice, who is sixth in line of succession to the throne, feels 'overshadowed' by Kate and has become 'resentful' of the worldwide interest in her. This febrile chatter has now been amplified by an Australian magazine, Woman's Day, which has reported that 'while Kate has been winning hearts around the world, Beatrice and her sister Eugenie have been relegated to attending garden parties and cutting ribbons.'

"The magazine claims that Beatrice, 26, 'complains to friends that Kate — the "Chosen One" — gets the glamour jobs, the clothing allowance, the limos and the bodyguards, while I have to travel economy.' It says that Beatrice makes openly snide remarks about Kate and her sister Pippa, whom she describes as 'vacuous' and 'pushy.'"

Prince Andrew's daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, have been shoved into the spotlight at times only to be trampled by Middleton, who came into the family as a commoner and has managed to win hearts everywhere. There seems to be a sense of entitlement there and, while it legitimately exists, it is certainly not going to win over the general public.

Do you think Middleton purposely steps on Beatrice or is she simply living her own life, which sometimes overlaps with whatever Beatrice is doing? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
