While Teresa Giudice stood up in court in early October and apologized for her fraudulent behavior and insisted that she is ready to live a more conservative lifestyle, that certainly wasn't the case in the days leading up to her sentencing. Instead we have learned that The Real Housewive's of New Jersey star borrowed $50,000 from Just Desserts, the company that was responsible for marketing the star's now-defunct gelato bars.

According to a report by Radar Online, Giudice used the fast cash to continue living well above her means in the weeks before learning that she'll ultimately spend 15 months behind bars. Part of the loan was used to make the reality star look good in court!

"Teresa and Joe were broke, broke, broke before Just Desserts gave them a loan for $50,000 in late August," an insider told Radar Online. "There was no money to put gas in the family fleet of luxury vehicles, including Teresa's Mercedes. There were legal fees to pay, and of course, Teresa's glam squad consisting of hair dresser and make-up artist, were going to be needed for their work on her sentencing day. Just Desserts was paid back the $50,000 from profits of the Bravo interview with Teresa and Joe."

Remember, Teresa and Joe Giudice both sat down for an interview with Andy Cohen just two days after learning their fate. The interview played out in a few parts on special versions of his Watch What Happens Live show. Just Desserts might be one of the very few companies that the Giudice's decided to pay back in a timely fashion. Do you think that Teresa will really ever learn anything from this experience or will she be released from prison and still expect to live extravagantly? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
