Diplo & Skrillex have been busy with a host of different media commitments and they continue their visits to various radio stations and major media outlets. They have been making appearance on a whole host of radio stations and TV shows this fall. Now their duo, known as Jack U stay in their backyard, going on Power 106 in Los Angeles on Big Boy's Neighborhood. They get in the mix to spin a live DJ set that features some of their own material in a unique blend of hip hop, trap and various forms of electronic music. Taking over the turntables at a hip-hop radio station, they play to their audience with plenty of modern hip-hop tracks that you would potentially hear in one of their sets.
In between their time on the decks, Big Boy has the chance to chat with the star duo. They dish on their role within the genre and how they look to continuously push the genre, emphasizing that if making music ever stopped becoming fun, they would have to find another job. Jack U, who had played at a Soulcycle spot in Los Angeles the night before, make the claim that they will play anywhere if you get them drunk enough. Don't test your fans guys.
Among the many things discussed, they drop one new piece of information about their single "Take U There" featuring Kiesza. The remixes just leaked online, but according to Diplo who always spills the beans on items like this says that the video for "Take U There" will be released tomorrow (via Power 106).
On their promo run this fall, Jack U have gone on various networks like Howard Stern, Hot 97's Ebro In The Morning and BET's 106 & Park. Now they take that back to their hometown of Los Angeles and into the studio for an exclusive mix for Big Boy on Power 106. Diplo & Skrillex will be playing Madison Square Garden on New Years Eve and have in part been doing this media tour to promote that.
