Sir Robert Bryson Hall III, known professionally as Logic, has been a one of the biggest revelations in hip-hop over the past few years. Known and beloved by his fans for his smooth delivery and thoughtful raps, the Young Sinatra has grown from an internet sensation to a viable hip-hop star in the making. Now, according to a Facebook post just put up tonight, Logic is looking to take the next step and make a huge hit that will put him on the radio and in front of a ton of new fans. He posted a picture of him in the studio with German star producer / DJ Zedd working on "something crazy" (via Do Androids Dance).

Logic signed to Def Jam Recordings in 2013 and released his debut artist album, Under Pressure, through the label in October. He had released several critically acclaimed mixtapes, but the album was his foray into the major label world. Now that Def Jam connection may be giving him the tools to create a radio hit that would catapult him to an elite level of stardom.

Def Jam has started to move into the dance space, understanding that there is a massive market to tap into. The label signed Axwell /\ Ingrosso's upcoming album, slated for release in 2015 and has signed Alesso in a similar deal.

Zedd has shown that he has the ability to work with different artists across different music styles, whether it is a fellow DJ like Lucky Date or major pop star like Ariana Grande. He spoke to Billboard about how he chooses the artists he works with and why he is so picky. "For artists that ask me to produce for them, the rule is I have to love it. Sometimes, it happens that I'll have made a great track that doesn't quite fit my own album, so I open it up for other people to work with. I tell my A&R that if they have someone who might fit this song, I'm open to it. I'd always rather have someone else benefit from a song than throwing it away."

It will be interesting to see how Zedd can tone back his production to mesh with a lyricist like Logic. We have recently seen plenty of rappers working with big name producers, like Big Sean on "Open Wide" from Calvin Harris' Motion, ASAP Rocky famously with Skrillex on "Wild For The Night", DJ Snake & Lil Jon on "Turn Down For What" and many more.
