Anyone who follows Plies on Twitter knows just how opinionated the "Shawty" rapper is, so it's safe to say some assumed he was referring to Chris Brown in one of his recent tweets, Breezy included. On the heels of his public breakup from Karrueche Tran, Brown responded to the presumed social media jab by saying the rapper's career is dead.

Prior to Brown and Plies' fallout, the "New Flame" singer's split from Tran played out on Instagram, with Brown airing out their dirt. The singer accused his former girlfriend of cheating on him with Drake and visiting him in Toronto while Breezy was in jail.

Plies didn't mention anyone by name but apparently his tweet struck a nerve with Chris Brown. Following the "Don't Judge Me" crooner's rant, he wrote, "If U Tell A Female Business Just When U Get Mad U A F--k N---a...."

Brown jumped on Twitter to respond but quickly deleted the highlights of his recent activity.

Plies posted a follow-up meme on Instagram clarifying the initial tweet and soon thereafter, Brown issued a public apology to Tran. He has yet to respond to Plies but the rapper's clarification may have prompted his display of remorse.

In his apology posted to Instagram, Brown wrote, "I don't think social media is a place to air out or hash out personal problems and a n---a feel hella WACK for doing it. So I AM APOLOGIZING I live in a glass house and the same s--t that makes me great also is my curse."
