Jack Ü have been everywhere lately. Diplo & Skrillex have taken their media tour down under to Australia and New Zealand as they do a flurry of festival shows during the hot summer months of the Southern Hemisphere. They are now giving away a new free track, albeit just a mashup, but still something free from the hard drives from two of the biggest in the genre (via In The Mix). Jack Ü have released for free their new mashup of Skrillex's remix of Benny Benassi featuring Gary Go "Cinema" and the Andy C rendition of Major Lazer & The Dirty Projectors "Get Free."
Avid fans will recognize the mashup as the closer from their Diplo & Friends BBC Radio One mix. It was taken from Skrillex's website in an apparent glitch checking out other items. Accoridng to YourEDM, the edit was originally designed to be a free download to purchasing members. The mashup unsurprisingly found its way onto the web.
The mashup starts slow and soft with Gary Go's vocals easing you along before the listener gets catapulted into a jarring drum 'n' bass drop led by Andy C.
During their time down under on the Stereosonic, they made a stop in at Triple J mix up exclusives with Nina Las Vegas to play a super special back to back to back to back to back set with RL Grime, What So Not and Carmada.
During one of their stateside interviews, the duo revealed that fans should expect a mixtape before their show at Madison Square Garden alongside Rudimental, Yellow Claw and A$AP Ferg on New Years Eve. This is just an early holiday treat ahead of that major release with "Take U There" in the rearview.
