Rising sensation Tinashe recently sat down with Game Changers presented by Vibe and the newbie who stole the show made a bold assertion. While discussing leadership and family values, Tinashe said, "I can be the leader of female R&B." Critics have already said she's coming for Beyoncé's spot so she may be on to something.

In the three-minute clip, Tinashe shares her appreciation for the support from her brothers and manager Mike. She also talks about the creative process behind her critically acclaimed debut album Aquarius.

"I definitely took control in the creative process of creating this album, which is a blessing," she said. "It was really amazing that my record label gave me that opportunity."

Tinashe's DJ Mustard-produced single "2 On" was recognized by TIME as one of the year's best songs but she says the most rewarding thing is being able to perform her music for her fans.

"For me when I get on stage it feels like really comfortable," she said. "It's where I'm most at home. It's really rewarding to be on stage and feel that energy and that feedback that you get from the audience."

Towards the end of the clip, revealed the high expectations she has for herself and confidently said she can lead female R&B.

"I have extremely high expectations so this is by no means where I'm content. I have a lot of work left to do. I believe I can be the leader of female R&B. I believe anybody has the potential to be the leader in female R&B. It's just about taking control over your career and really building it to a place where you believe in it and a lot of other people. So I don't know. The sky is the limit."

And there certainly are a lot of folks who believe in Tinashe, namely Jon Caramanica, who said she's gunning for Beyonce's spot following the release of Aquarius. Caramanica wrote that aside from the "Drunk In Love" singer and Rita Ora, the R&B lane is wide open for Tinashe.
