Jay Leno has never been one to dodge controversial subjects, so it is not too surprising that when asked about the scandal plaguing Bill Cosby, he weighed in with a real answer. Leno was on hand for a Q&A segment at the NATPE conference yesterday and his comments about the scandal made it clear that he believes the allegations against the famed comedian are true.

According to a report by Variety, Leno did not hold back from voicing his thoughts.

"I don't know why it's so hard to believe women," Leno told comedian Tom Papa, who moderated the conversation. "You to go Saudi Arabia and you need two women to testify against a man. Here you need 25."

Leno noted that the Cosby scandal was driven by a viral video made by comedian Hannibal Buress. He cited that as an example of how news and information is getting out unfiltered these days, which he said was a good thing.

Buress "made a flat-out statement that reverberated around the world," Leno said. "On any other media that would have been edited. People are getting news unfiltered now."

Perhaps Leno is really on to something here. Do you think that over the years a lot of comments and accusations have been edited out because people feared going toe-to-toe with Cosby? Is that part of what helped to allow people to blow off some of those random, early allegations nearly 10 years ago?

What is interesting is that for everyone who speaks out negatively against him, someone who has worked with Cosby has issued a statement that cites a positive experience. The problem is that he is slowly but surely beginning to run out of coworkers to go to bat for him.

Cosby has played a few shows in the last few weeks, things that had been booked before the sex scandal broke last November. While he says his career is not over, do you think anymore venues are going to go out of their way to add him to their rosters? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
