There's a sense of comradery in the British music scene, at least between Ed Sheeran and Noel Gallagher. After the former Oasis frontman slammed the "Thinking Out Loud" singer, claiming he "didn't want to live in a world where [Ed Sheeran playing Wembley] is possible," Sheeran has a peace offering: a pair of tickets to the very show that causes Gallagher such distress.

In a recent interview with BBC Radio 2 (via The Independent), Sheeran revealed that he actually texted Gallagher after reading his remarks regarding the Wembley shows, and that everything is OK between the two singers.

"He's always going to be the guy who's outspoken. I wasn't offended. I found it quite cool to be in his interview," Sheeran said. "I texted him because I have his number and asked him if he'd like some tickets. He wrote back, 'You cheeky so-and-so. My daughter would love some.'"

This isn't the first time that Sheeran has taken Gallagher's comments in stride. Shortly after the Noel Gallagher and the Flying Kites singer slammed Sheeran, saying "When you hear that kind of polished pop and then there's a ginger guy with a f--king guitar it seems subversive, but it's f--king not," Sheeran had his own little quip.

And, in general, Sheeran was quick to point out that negative comments and press doesn't really get to him.

"I get a lot of stick from press and people but it's good to get stick," he said. "That's why Americans go off the rails. Ego-wise you are risen and risen and risen. If you speak to anyone from Adele to Chris Martin, they would say they are grounded because they get a hiding from the press."

Sheeran is set to play three shows this July.
