Did you ever find yourself in the car listening to the radio and wondering what the heck was with all these "Blurred Lines?" If so, you were not alone in 2013. Music searching service/smartphone app Shazam has revealed its most tagged songs of the year, and Robin Thicke's monster-hit "Blurred Lines" has topped the list.

The controversial, genre-bending hit of the summer, which features Pharrell and T.I. easily topped Shazam's list. According to BBC Radio, the track was tagged 17.8 million times worldwide this year, passing the No. 2 song by over 3 million tags.

The easy win for "Blurred Lines" likely came not just from Thicke's relative anonymity leading up to the release of the song and its insane catchiness but also from the widespread radio play it received. According to Billboard, in August "Blurred Lines" broke the record for the most radio impressions in history, reaching an astonishing 219.8 million people in one week.

This was during the songs ninth of 12 weeks at No. 1.

The second most-tagged song of 2013 was Avicii's "Wake Me Up!," which had 14.7 million people wondering what that song on the radio was.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis had two of the year's most tagged songs with "Thrift Shop" (No. 3, 13.6 million) and "Can't Hold Us" (No. 4, 11.9 million). Other artists featured include P!nk, Lorde and Passenger.
