LHHA's Stevie J is pretty hungry for fame and notoriety, and in New York City he has accomplished it for sure because he is currently listed as one of the state's biggest dead-beat fathers. He currently is accused of owing more than $1.1 million in back child support payments. On Tuesday, Feb. 10, Stevie and his hotheaded wife Joseline Hernandez rolled in to federal court so he could enter a not-guilty plea in the case and, of course, they clashed with onlookers. Hernandez defended Stevie during their million-dollar court date.
According to a report by Page Six, a woman near the Love and Hip Hop Atlanta couple yelled out that Stevie should be ashamed of himself and, of course, Hernandez stepped in to curse out the woman and defend her man. Once Stevie was finally in court, Judge Paul Crotty was confused about why he even had the case because child support issues rarely ever end up in federal court. Apparently, Stevie now thinks this judge will ignore the facts of the case and the reality that he has not paid a dime since 2001 and show him favor instead.
Rather than deal with the situation at hand and breeze in and out of court, as most celebrities would opt to do, Stevie instead used it as an opportunity to hype his upcoming projects. Since Hernandez was with him, it is obvious these two are still together in some capacity. They are always the subject of rumors, and just recently a woman came forward insisting that she was not just Stevie's latest side chick, but that he had promised to make her his queen. Apparently she has not had much luck in dethroning Hernandez, who certainly would not go without a fight.
