Kathy Griffin is the second host to flee from the sinking ship that is E!'s Fashion Police. It almost seemed inevitable once she started making comments about how pathetic it is that Giuliana Rancic needs someone to write her red carpet jokes for her. It was the kind of statement that comes from someone who just quit their job and is able to be a little more honest. Griffin confirmed her departure yesterday on Twitter, after surviving only seven episodes of Fashion Police.

"After 7 episodes of Fashion Police, I discovered that my style does not fit with the creative direction of the show & now it's time to move on. I wish the E! and the team the best and I hope to continue to make you all laugh performing live or on television where I can be smart, irreverent, unrepentant and unafraid in an observational way that is candid, honest and justified." said Griffin in what feels like a real vent that she has been hanging on to ever since Rancic insulted Zendaya Coleman last month.

Once it became clear that E! wasn't going to get rid of Rancic and then Kelly Osbourne was the first host to quit and Griffin only hung on for one week more than her. We hear that behind the scenes the show is a creative disaster. Griffin was brought in to replace Joan Rivers and the ratings have been mediocre at best. Osbourne also alluded to it being an awful environment to keep working in.

Do you think that if the network had decided to dump Rancic, who doesn't write her own material anyway, then they'd still have Griffin and Osbourne? As of now, E! says that the show is not canceled. How do you think that they can actually salvage things? Who can they bring in to host that would have new viewers follow them? Or is it really too late for that?
