The Cannes Film Festival premiered the first viewing of the Amy Winehouse documentary titled Amy this weekend and now the official movie poster has premiered online with the Back to Black singer gazing straight ahead and sporting her signature thick black eyeliner paired with bold pink letters spelling her name.

Last month, the Asif Kapadia-directed biopic detailing the life of Amy Winehouse released its first trailer for Amy, reports Billboard. The film footage captured moments of Winehouse's childhood, admitting herself "I don't think I'm going to be at all famous. I don't think I could handle it. I would probably go mad."

A24 Films presented a clip from the film, which featured Amy singing and laughing, images of handwritten lyrics and footage of former manager, Nick Shymansky, describing the artist's journey through songwriting. Previously unheard tracks and unseen archive footage are also promised to be incorporated in the film. Since debuting at Cannes, the film has received glowing reviews, which just so happen to oppose the mindset of the Winehouse family. Their negative responses to Amy yield from Mitch Winehouse's movie depiction as being unsupportive of his daughter.

"It's both misleading and contains some basic untruths," read a statement from Winehouse's family, notes NME. "The narrative is formed by the testimony of a narrow sample of Amy's associates, many of whom had nothing to do with her in the last years of her life. Counter views expressed to the filmmakers did not make the final cut."

The feature-length documentary will hit theaters in the U.K. on July 3 and will see a summer release date in the U.S.
