As the 2015 BET Awards gets closer, the show's lineup gets more better. The Weeknd and Alicia Keys have been added to the list of performers and Janet Jackson will be honored at this year's ceremony.

Prior to his headlining performance at the Made in America Festival in Philadelphia in September, The Weeknd will grace the stage at L.A.'s Microsoft Theater on Sunday, June 28. This will mark his first time performing at the BET Awards. He is nominated for three awards including Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, the Centric Award and the Coca-Cola Viewers' Choice Award for his Fifty Shades of Grey hit "Earned It."

Keys, who is also working on her first album since 2012's Girl on Fire, will perform for the first time since giving birth last December.

As noted by Rap-Up, the "We Are Here" singer has been in the studio with her husband Swizz Beatz and Pharrell Williams putting together her forthcoming release.

"Alicia's album is crazy. Harlem is gonna be real proud. New York is gonna be real proud," Williams said during an interview with Angie Martinez last year. "I'm tellin' you. She's getting ready to do something super next level. It supercedes anything that's out."

Janet Jackson will be honored with the inaugural Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual award. Ciara, Jason Derulo and Tinashe will perform a dance tribute.

As previously reported, Smokey Robinson will receive the network's prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award and radio personality Tom Joyner will be presented with the Humanitarian Award for his philanthrophic efforts.

Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill, Big Sean, Robin Thicke and Janelle Monáe are also scheduled to perform.
