Maisie Williams, better known as Arya Stark from the hit HBO television series Game of Thrones, has had her share of battles in the past. From taking on backstabbing knights to getting her revenge on Polliver and most recently struggling with her newfound blindness. This time, Williams is stepping outside of her character role to take on another challenge, YouTube. On Tuesday Sept. 8, she launched her own YouTube channel hoping it will serve as another outlet for her to connect with fans.
Williams decided to step into the wonderful world of YouTube and start her channel, Random Moments of Madness With Maisie Williams, because she has a lot of friends who have their own channels and always showed interest in how the video production process is executed. The 18-year-old actress and dancer also reached a milestone on Instagram, by accumulating over one million followers. Her Instagram success also played a role in her decision to create her first video.
"I'm mainly going to have videos of things that make me laugh; sketches," said Williams about her new YouTube quest. "It's not going to be somewhere that I post regularly. It will just be every now and then, something that made me smile or an idea that I had, to let my creative juices out, I guess."
The Bristol native kicked off her arrival on YouTube with a question and answer portion from fans around the world. She didn't hold back with any of her answers, remaining very true to herself and personality. Williams disclosed information about everything from crying about a Game of Thrones episode to a childhood memory where she lost a special pebble on the beach. The video already has over 20,000 views.
