It's a huge year in the career of Alanis Morissette; her breakout album Jagged Little Pill is turning 20 years old. And, to help usher in the major anniversary, she dressed up in a massive chicken costume on The Tonight Show and clucked along to her hit song "Ironic" with the help of Meghan Trainor and Jimmy Fallon.

::Insert "Ironic" joke here.::

The sketch itself is actually a reoccurring bit on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Those big yellow feathered suits had previously been broken out for a chicken fried rendition of The Lumineers' "Ho Hey." But, this time the Chickeneers were dubbed Jagged Little Chicks, and they bok'ed out to "Ironic" like a pack of farm animal pros.

Morissette herself seemed particularly amused at the new version of her hit single, even talk-clucking at one point, with an impressive accuracy to the song's original melody.

Morissette wasn't just on The Tonight Show to cluck along to one of her hits, she also gave a normal performance. Wearing a more normal outfit (a black lace dress), Morissette gave an acoustic performance of another Jagged Little Pill hit, "Hand in My Pocket." Like her clucking, this performance was perfectly captivating, albeit in a totally different way.

Morissette appeared on The Tonight Show to help promote the release of the 20th anniversary edition of Jagged Little Pill, which was released on Friday, Oct. 30. The four-disc LP featured a remastered album, a disc full of demos, Jagged Little Pill Acoustic and a previously unreleased live album.
