Last month Canadian indie-pop rockers Tokyo Police Club released an arcade game tribute music video for the single "Hot Tonight." This music video featured classic arcade games given a modern twist and some had an adaptation closer to home for the band. One of those is now a playable online game involving a tour van destroying asteroids!

"If you choose to accept, your mission is to drive the TPC tour bus across the moon and help protect Earth by destroying a [forcefield] of asteroids," the band announced on its official Facebook page this week, linking to the fun new game.

While playing this addictive new game, the new album Forcefield streams! Though the game is a bit short so you can't really get through even one song, you have the option to navigate between tracks while playing.

The band recently sat down with The Huffington Post to talk about the new album and how it all came together.

"It sounds so redundant to say, but the music industry is getting tougher and tougher the longer we're in it," frontman and bassist David Monks explained. "It's not supposed to take three years to record an album, typically you get 18 months, but we just knew that if we took the normal approach, we'd end up with material that would lead us to the same place again.

Keyboardist/guitarist Graham Wright added: "There was something about letting go of that pressure by sort of knowing we were taking to long but doing it anyways. We did it and dealt with it because even though it wasn't what we were 'supposed' to do, it just felt right."
