There hasn't been much noise fromt the Arctic Monkeys camp for some time, but it has been known that the band's frontman Alex Turner has been hard at work with Miles Kane on a new album with their side project, The Last Shadow Puppets. Now, the new album's producer has revealed that the album is complete and will be released sometime next year.

Speaking with Chilean website Rock & Pop, producer James Ford, who is known for his work in Simian Mobile Disco, said that, "This year, I've just done a Last Shadow Puppets record, which is the guy from Arctic Monkeys and Miles... So we did the follow-up album to that. That's the last thing I did." He went on to confirm that the record is completely finished and will "be out next year sometime."

Owen Pallett, who worked with the duo on their duo on their first album, recently tweeted that the new record was encroaching on "classic status," whatever that means, using hashtag #tlsp2. The Tweet has since been deleted.

Turner had also told NME in 2013 that he had been looking to reunite TLSP once again, saying, "It's something we'd both love to do at some point but I don't know what that point is. I certainly don't think it's tomorrow. Miles is doing his thing and that's going great. It's like he's become whole. Although he always was a superstar, wasn't he?"

The new album would serve as a follow-up to the band's 2008 debut album, The Age Of The Understatement. An official announcement has yet-to-be made regarding its release.
