At last night's 2015 AMAs, Justin Bieber stepped onto the red carpet with an interesting choice of attire, a Nirvana t-shirt, which continues the trend classics after the Metallica t-shirt that he donned on The Ellen DeGeneres Show a few weeks ago. He casually allowed himself to be photographed in extremely shredded jeans and a shirt that paid homage to classic grunge band. Surprising, Courtney Love tweeted her approval.

Twitter reacted immediately, with one user tweeting about Kurt Cobain rolling over in his grave due to Bieber wearing the t-shirt and another proclaiming that the young singer doesn't have the right to wear the shirt.

While she is known for being fiercely protective of anything Nirvana related, Courtney Love showed support for Bieber's choice of attire, tweeting, "You're cool in my book."

This is not the first time that Bieber has donned a Nirvana t-shirt according to SPIN and last time there was some serious outrage associated with it, with one fired up user tweeting, "Justin Bieber wearing a Nirvana shirt is an oxymoron... because Nirvana actually makes good music." When Bieber wore the Metallica t-shirt for his Ellen appearance the outrage of fans, "who listen to real music" extended to them wanting to throw up.

Despite criticism over viewers for his choice of clothing, Bieber has been having a lot of success in the music world lately, holding the No. 1 spot in album sales for Purpose over fellow pop act One Direction.

Regardless of his red carpet attire, Bieber also did a resounding medley performance of three of his greatest hits from the album at the AMAs last night, which included "What Do You Mean," "Where R U Now" and "Sorry." Notably, he performed "Sorry" with water pouring down on him from the ceiling with dancers behind him.
