Justin Bieber continued his relentless media campaign in promotion of his new album Purpose with a medley performance of "What Do You Mean," "Where Are U Now" and "Sorry" at the 2015 American Music Awards.

He came out on stage with the same ragged hoodie he wore on the red carpet, which made more sense once water started pouring down onto the stage as Bieber sang "Sorry" with dancers kicking up water behind him.

"Where Are U Now" lacked an appearance from Skrillex and Diplo, who earlier on in the night with Bieber accepted the award for Best Collaboration. The pop star did break out some of his most impressive dance moves to date dropping his mic with a thud before breaking into the robotic-like movements.

His mic was definitely live through the first two songs, but once the fake rain started coming down he obviously switched to lip-syncing. Even if there weren't electrical safety concerns involved, it was worth it for the visual payoff.

Plus fans got a good long look at his vocal capabilities in the acoustic intro to "What Do You Mean," featuring an adventurous guitar player who added in some harmonics and fancy rhythms to the pop tune.

It's rumored that Selena Gomez and Bieber are back together following his serenading rendition of "My Girl" caught on camera at a restaurant, in which the two made out. Gomez also performed at the award ceremony singing her newest single "Same Old Love" of her new album Revival.

Purpose dominated the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks with 12 tracks on the real-time chart, the most titles to concurrently chart since the launch of the metric in May 2014. His album is expected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart dated for Dec. 5 when the official numbers are released.

The 2015 AMAs featured performances from Selena Gomez, Carrie Underwood, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, One Direction, Nick Jonas, Walk The Moon, 5 Seconds of Summer, Gwen Stefani, Meghan Trainor with Charlie Puth, Pentatonix, Luke Bryan with Karen Fairchild and Coldplay.
