Rolling Stone's Brian Hiatt recently shared details of his set visit to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, featuring details that shed a bit more light on the secretive plot and story of J.J. Abrams' 2015 Disney and Lucasfilm blockbuster. As you can imagine, the magazine's behind-the-scenes coverage is clearly an incomplete synopsis, but it does include some minor spoilers so don't proceed if you're trying to avoid that sort of thing. Minor spoilers for Episode VII are shared below. Before we get to them, check out the most recent movie trailer:

Hiatt's feature included some details on meeting with the director, watching some cool footage and sharing that information with his readers.

"I am permitted to watch Abrams editing the movie for precisely 20 minutes. That adds up to maybe a minute or two of actual footage. So I can confirm that there is a space battle in the film, featuring X-Wings and TIE fighters and something like a Death Star," Hiatt reported, according to IGN. "There is a lightsaber duel, where Kylo Ren is unmasked, revealing an intense-looking, unscarred [Adam] Driver. There is a weapon that the filmmakers, at least, refer to as a 'Sunsucker.' I see a churning energy device on the ground of a planet that sends a massive, lavalike beam upward - Sunsucker or not, it looks scary."

According to other reports, around 6 minutes of footage from the film have been released in the forms of teasers, trailers, clips and more. Luckily for us, you can watch this footage in chronological order thanks to the following video (via Slash Film):
