During a new interview, Sir Elton John has offered his praise for Miley Cyrus and her antics, claiming that they're "brilliant" and much like what Frank Zappa would do.

While speaking to Noisey, John stated, "I mean who would have thought that she'd do a record with The Flaming Lips?... I love that kind of thing. That on the spur of the moment, out of leftfield stuff like that. And they're gonna perform the whole album nude. I'm booking my ticket now. It's like 'I wanna see this, this is interesting.'"

"It's f**king brilliant," he added. "It feels like something that would have happened during the '60s, something someone like Frank Zappa would have done. Good for Miley. Break the mould, girl." During the same interview, John praises Kanye West, comparing his work to modern jazz of all styles, as well as James Blake, John Grant and Young Thug, the latter of which's new LP he is particularly impressed by.

John's comments about Miley stem from her known unusual NSFW behavior on stage, in music videos and via magazine promos. The new face of Miley Cyrus has been developing over the past year, since she only just released her last mainstream pop solo LP, Bangerz, in 2014.

This year, Cyrus teamed up with The Flaming Lips under the moniker Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz to record a new out-there LP that has certainly bridged the gap between her and the rock community. The conglomerate is currently on tour and will even perform an entire show in the nude, according to reports.

Watch Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz' trippy music video for track "Dooo It!" from their brand new album, which is currently streaming for free on her official website. Elton John will release a brand new album, Wonderful Crazy Night, on Feb. 5 of next year (2016).
