2 Chainz has already made a healthy sum on money in his long career and over the holiday season, he and his team's latest idea just netted the "We Own It" rapper $2 million in revenue. 2 Chainz made his fortune selling the viral Dabbing Santa sweaters, which capitalized on two important themes - dabbing and ugly sweaters. 2 Chainz and his team did not pocket all of this cash. A lot of it went to his T.R.U. Foundation and was donated in large portions to people in the Atlanta area in need.

The foundation paid for a year's rent and new furniture for Dierdre Palmetto, a disabled veteran and single mother from Palmetto, Georgia. In addition to that act of charity, they also donated a minivan to an Atlanta family who lost everything in a house fire.

The sweater has been incredibly popular, as seen by the sales numbers, and has been sported by everyone including the dab daddy himself, Cam Newton on a few of his own charitable runs.

Speaking to Forbes, 2 Chainz explained how this all came together and why they chose the people to give the money to.

"This is just timing meets opportunity. There's the whole dab thing, and Atlanta's always been somewhere that actually moves the culture a little bit," the rapper explained. "We have been the backbone of hip-hop for the past couple years. So with dabbing coming out of Atlanta, it just began to grow legs and start moving on its own."

Speaking of Palmetto, 2 Chainz reasoned, "My dad was a veteran." He continued, "They had no furniture, they were living month-to-month. I just wanted to relieve some of that stress. I just felt like, if I gave them a year's cushion, which no one ever offered me, it would be a good opportunity."
