Late last month, December 2015, Pete Tong announced that he would be bringing his BBC Radio 1 Mix Series to the US in 2016. Tong noted that it would be broadcast live from LA's Exchange Nightclub with a special guest mix from Richie Hawtin on January 22nd. Today, Tong made an even bigger announcement by letting fans know that Eric Prydz, Claude VonStroke and MK would be joining Tong in LA, for a special broadcast before Hawtin's BBC Radio 1 Mix!

Prior to Hawtin's official BBC Radio 1 Mix, Tong will be performing a special three hour set to get fans excited for the main event later that evening, with Prydz, Claude and MK making appearances and conducting interviews throughout. In regards to this massive news, as noted by Dancing Astronaut, Tong stated, "I'm very excited about my show coming live from LA on Jan 22nd. Los Angeles has become a creative hub for electronic artists from all over the world during the past few years and California and Las Vegas a hot bed of ground breaking festivals and some of the world's leading clubs. Bringing the show out of Hollywood and being able to reflect some of the exciting things going on is a great way to start the year."

Tong took to Twitter to make the announcement, which was followed up by the announcement on the official BBC Radio 1 homepage, showcasing the LA show on the 22nd with Tong, Hawtin, VonStroke, MK and Prydz.

The Mix Series in the US will be the first of it's kind and should certainly pave the way for this US Broadcast to succeed, with Tong spearheading the project, as he did so well through his BBC Radio 1 Broadcasts in the UK.

Tong will follow up this special event with his second US Broadcast from a rooftop in Miami on March 18th, with special guest, Annie Mac; just in time for Miami Music Week and Ultra Music Festival!

Tickets to the LA Broadcast event can be found here, through ExchangeLA.
