Sonny Moore, the artist, producer and musician known as Skrillex, turned 28 years old on Friday (Jan. 15), and although the age is not a massive milestone like 30, 50 or 100 may be, it's a day that allows fans to reflect on his accomplishments throughout his illustrious career thus far.

At only 28, pages of accolades and accomplishments could be written about Skrillex, but rather than list them all out, there are many songs from his career that have made Skrillex as recognizable as he is today, and thus, in celebration of his birthday, we have his top 10 tracks.

10. Skrillex - "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites"

This was one of the first tracks that put Skrillex on the map in 2010. Few may know that he had released a previous EP, My Name Is Skrillex, and later in 2010, released another EP, Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites, which, looking back, was the starting point of Skrillex's, then, young career. Deadmau5 was a rather big name at the time, and it was no accident that this EP was released on Deadmau5's label, mau5trap records. "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" (the song), was a magnificent introduction into Skrillex's genius mind as a producer, and the dubstep genre of EDM. Skrillex also won his first Grammy(s) for the track and the title EP, which were nominated for Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronica Album.

09. Skrillex, feat. Sirah - "Weekends!!!"

Actually premiered on Skrillex's debut EP, My Name Is Skrillex, "Weekends!!!" not only gave fans heavy bass and robotic sounds to dance to but offered up a song that could be played at parties, with vocals to sing along to as well. The was also the first time Skrillex and vocalist Sirah linked up, which proved to be one of many successful tracks together. "Weekends!!!" will always be a signature Skrillex track, with a whole new meaning to going out on the weekends.

08. Skrillex - "Ruffneck"

In mid 2011, Skrillex released a remix EP called, More Monsters And Sprites, which was a follow up to his previous EP, Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites. Composed of eight tracks, including four remixes to the title track, More Monsters and Sprites was a massive follow-up to the preceding EP, but not only because of the remixes, but because of the new original track, "Ruffneck," from Skrillex. "Are you ready for the ruffneck bass?" are the signature lyrics to the track (ring any bells yet), and the drop became a household signature of Skrillex's sound. Almost five years later, "Ruffneck" is still played in Skrillex's sets, giving an unparalleled experience.

07. Skrillex, feat. Sirah - "Bangarang"

Continuing upon his previous successes, Skrillex released his next EP titled, Bangarang, in early 2012, which went on to win three Grammys."Bangarang" marked another successful track with Sirah, and, it climbed into Billboard's Hot 100 chart as well after reaching the No. 1 spot on the Dance/Electronic Album chart. With how well the EP did, especially the title track of the album, it's only right that "Bangarang" be listed as one of Skrillex's top tracks of all time.

06. Skrillex, feat. Ellie Goulding - Summit

Bangarang won three Grammys and although this track, "Summit," featuring Ellie Goulding, wasn't the third trophy Skrillex took home that day, this is one track that any Skrillex fan knows by heart and loves. Skrillex and Goulding actually had a romantic relationship after the track was made, but that fizzled out over time. "Summit" also showed off a different side of Skrillex's musical talents, as this track was more melodic than heavy dubstep. Arguably, this single grew Skrillex's fanbase because of its rather light-dubstep and sensual sounds, which differed than his previous tracks that were known for their heavy drops, and bass pumping sounds.

05. Nero - "Promises" (Skrillex Remix)

Also released on Skrillex's Bangarang EP, Skrillex remixed Nero's hit track "Promises," which turned out to be a hit of his own. Skrillex plays musical-chairs with this remix, as he bounces back and forth between the layers of this track. It starts off with Nero singing the chorus of "Promises," but soon the song builds and leads into the drop. From there, one gets the feeling that the gorgeous melody and vocals are about to turn into the vintage, Skrillex-esque, dubstep sounds - and that's exactly what happens when the track drops. After the drop, the track goes back to the calm, singable vocals from Nero, and then Skrillex drops the bass and mayhem breaks loose.

04. Skrillex & The Doors - "Breakin' A Sweat"

Another track released on Skrillex's Grammy-Winning EP, Bangarang, (you can see why it took home the trophies it did), was Skrillex's song "Breakin' A Sweat," featuring The Doors. This track, at the time, was groundbreaking. Skrillex has always been looking to break down the walls of musical genres, and kicked that off by linking up with The Doors for "Breakin' A Sweat." The track is broken down into two distinguishable parts: the intro and chorus, and the infusion of classic rock and the modern art of EDM makes this song a new kind of classic.

03. Benny Benassi, feat. Gary Go - "Cinema" (Skrillex Remix)

Arguably one of Skrillex's most nostalgic tracks throughout his career, his remix of Benny Benassi's, "Cinema," is a song that fans will cherish forever. Although stucturally similar too "Breakin A Sweat," with two very distinct parts to the track, "Cinema" is one of those tracks that when played, fans scream every single word out of pure joy and excitement from hearing the track. If you're a diehard Skrillex fan and someone asked you when and where you were during the first time you heard "Cinema" live - most would be able to tell you the exact date and location. Skrillex took home a Grammy for this remix at the 2012 Grammy's for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical, along with the other Grammys he won for Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites.

02. Avicii - "Levels" (Skrillex Remix)

As both Avicii and Skrillex were emerging on the scene in 2011, Avicii released one of the biggest tracks in the EDM world, "Levels," which is still to this day is held to the highest of standards and is up there in the "EDM Hall of Fame." Not only was the original from Avicii absolutely massive and game-changing, but Skrillex's remix of the track turned heads. The hype surrounding this remix was almost surreal and once finally released, changed the EDM game and solidified Skrillex's name for years to come.

01. Jack Ü, feat. Justin Bieber - "Where Are Ü Now"

The power group known as Jack Ü, comprised of Diplo and Skrillex, released "Where Are Ü Now" last year featuring Justin Bieber, and the song is already an instant hit. "Where Are Ü Now" represents more than just another great Skrillex track - it represents his unique ability to display a vast array of musical talents and productions. Over the course of Skrillex's illustrious career, he's made a name for himself as one of the best producers on the planet, and with this one, it shows that, in his six-plus years in the EDM world, he continues to push musical boundaries and advance the music scene for the better.
