After this match, Leicester has to face Manchester City and Arsenal FC in the next two EPL matches - the two teams closest to challenging their top spot. Star Leicester player Riyad Mahrez has shared a message with his team's fans, asking for home field support.

"We've only lost one game at home, so that shows how important the support has been," Mahrez said, according to PremierLeague.com. "For me, every game excites me, whether it's a night game or played on a Saturday afternoon. Our fans are fantastic, so we'll need them to be behind us and I'm sure that together we can get the three points."

On Boxing Day 2015, Liverpool came out victorious against the current standings leaders. Dejan Lovren reflected on the previous win and how it could affect today's game.

"It was a tough game against them. They have been first in the table and we were fighting against them. It was a deserved win," he told his team's website. "But now it's the same thing again and we just need to continue to play well. They are a team playing on the counter-attack and it will definitely be tough. But I'm confident in the team and our players. Hopefully we will do it again there. We know it will be tough but it's a great opportunity for us to take a step forward and show everyone we deserve to be in the top four at the end."
