Leonard Cohen has died at the age of 82 years old. The news was confirmed by the music icon's label Sony Music Canada on the singer's Facebook. The legendary singer and songwriter is considered to be one of the greatest Canadian songwriters of his generation. He was born on Sept. 21, 1934 in Westmount, Quebec. After a trip to New York City in 1966, his life turned dramatically towards music and became a noted songwriter and eventually singer for his own work. He has since written and released dozens of timeless works that will live on for years to come.
