Deadmau5, real name Joel Zimmerman, is someone who brings his fans into his life and into his music through social media and live streams weekly and almost daily. He often shows fans how he makes his music during those live streams, but now he is making it official. The "Strobe" producer is teaming up with Masterclass to give fans private online lessons on electronic music production.

In a teaser video for the course, deadmau5 explains what he plans on doing with his pupils and why people should sign up.

"This class is a good primer for those who want to get into the production of electronic music," says Zimmerman.

He is one of the best sound engineers and pure producers in the genre, who has built his own sound and stuck to it with an uncompromising vision. The years he has taken to build knowledge of sound design and production can be imparted on you, your cat or your grandmother for a fee of $90 per instructional session.

"Kids, DJs...anyone can compose music with just a computer," says Joel in a statement. "My MasterClass is a no bullshit look into what it takes to make great music, and it's not just buying millions of dollars worth of gear. I'm going to show my students how to play with sounds and mix melodies they can share with the world. I've never done something at this depth before."

Over the course of 20 different classes, he will teach beats, melodies, mixing, synths, branding and mastering. Don't expect much of a filter, so if you have thin skin, and aren't willing to take some criticism, don't bother with this.

Zimmerman joins a group of illustrious artists, writers and entertainers on the Masterclass roster like Usher, Aaron Sorkin, Werner Horzog and Christina Aguilera.
