XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, is in jail after prosecutors hit him with seven new felony charges during his hearing in Miami on Friday. The rapper remains in prison until his next trial date.

Judge Teresa Mary Pooler sent XXXTentacion directly to jail after she determined that he violated his bond from his initial arrest. The Miami-Dade County judge also slapped him with new charges, including witness harassment and witness tampering, all linked to his 2016 domestic violence case. According to reports, the prosecutors believed that he forced his ex-girlfriend, whom he is accused of abusing, not to pursue a legal case against him.

The new charges came after the 19-year-old-rapper filed a document earlier this month allegedly signed by his former girlfriend. The legal document supposedly contained details that would result in his domestic abuse charges getting dropped if she refused to cooperate. However, the court still sent XXXTentacion to jail where he is being held without bail.

In October 2016, XXXTentacion received multiple complaints of domestic violence from his ex-girlfriend, who was pregnant at that time. The charges include domestic battery by strangulation and aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, to name a few. The rapper has since denied the accusations in interviews and claimed that another person attacked the woman. He also denied that she was pregnant and pleaded not guilty.

However, in January 2017, the victim filed a complaint against the rapper at the public defendant's office in Miami. In her lengthy testimony, the woman recalled the harrowing ordeal she had to go through in the months after she moved in with XXXTentacion in May 2016. She alleged that he had been repeatedly abusive toward her. The abuse started two weeks after they began living together. She claimed that the "Look at Me" singer damaged her iPhone and slapped her after she complimented another man's jewelry. Shortly thereafter, XXXTentacion threatened to stick a "barbecue pitchfork" into her private parts.

In the same testimony, the woman revealed that XXXTentacion became increasingly violent when they moved to Orlando in July. She said that he threatened to kill her "literally like everyday." The woman alleged that the rapper was physically abusive toward her during their time together.

One time he put a knife to her neck and strangled her after they moved back in together following his release from prison in September. He also punched and strangled her and threatened to kill their unborn child in October.

If XXXTentacion is found guilty of all the domestic abuse charges filed against him, then he will face jail time for a minimum of 10 years.
