Jack White is scheduled to appear in next month's episode of Saturday Night Live. The singer is expected to perform one of his songs on the NBC sketch show.

White just released his third solo studio LP Boarding House Reach and he will be promoting it on Saturday Night Live on April 14. White's installment will be hosted by John Mulaney, a comedian and former writer for Saturday Night Live.

His guesting at the show next month won't be a first for White. In 2002, he performed on the show with his band The White Stripes and 10 years later, he performed alongside Lindsay Lohan.

Jack White Promotes 'Boarding House Reach' In London

Meanwhile, White also made headlines earlier this week after he played a last-minute gig at a London pub. The show was organized to celebrate the release of his newest album. Boarding House Reach was dropped on March 23. At least one publication reviewed the compilation positively.

"Jack White has finally lost the plot - and he sounds totally brilliant. On his third solo album he's at last shaken off the bluesy shackles of the White Stripes and has created something wild, mysterious, and unlike anything else around," read the review.

The songs included in Boarding House Reach are "Connected By Love," "Why Walk a Dog?" "Corporation," "Abulia and Akrasia," "Hypermisophoniac," "Ice Station Zebra," "Over and Over and Over," "Everything You've Ever Learned," "Respect Commander," "Ezmeralda Steals the Show," "Get in the Mind Shaft," "What's Done Is Done," and "Humoresque."

Jack White Talks About His Third Studio Album

Prior to the release of Boarding House Reach, White sat down for an interview to talk about his most "freewheeling" LP yet.

"It almost hurt my feelings to condense some of those songs, but I wanted to make it relatable in 2018. The entire record, to me, is incredibly modern. I wanted to take punk, hip-hop and rock and roll, and funnel it all into a 2018 time capsule," said White.
