Gorillaz announces the official lineup for the Demon Dayz Festival on Oct. 20. The event will take place at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena & Grounds in Los Angeles, California.

This year's performers include Erykah Badu, The Internet, Dram, Little Simz, Kilo Kish, Ana Tijoux, Tony Allen, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Las Cafeteras, and Chulita Vinyl Club.

Tickets for this year's show will be available starting June 8 at 10 a.m. EDT.

Last year's first Demon Dayz Festival was held in Margate, England.

Gorillaz's Upcoming Album 'The Now Now'

Other than Gorillaz's upcoming live performance at the music event, the British virtual band is also gearing up for the upcoming release of its new album The Now Now. Some of the tracks included in the compilation are "Lake Zurich," "Humility," and more. The album will be available on June 29.

Prior to its release, creators Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett opened up about The Now Now. The duo revealed that their new project is inspired by the things that are happening "right now." After writing the songs, Albarn and Hewlett decided to call it The Now Now.

During their interview, one of the group's animated members, Noodle, was asked if Gorillaz is in a good place at the moment.

"There is no 'good place' for Gorillaz. We are always between places, never staying still. For now, Murdoc is in a place with lots of bars and locks. Russel is trying to put the world back together like it's a broken teapot. 2D is... well, in a new place. Less fragile, somehow, stronger. It's weird. He's even stopped watching Gilmore Girls,'" explained Noodle.

Gorillaz Music Career

Gorillaz was created by Albarn and Hewlett in 1998. The band consists of four animated members, namely 2-D, lead vocalist and keyboardist, Murdoc Niccals, bass guitarist, Noodle, guitarist and keyboardist, and Russel Hobbs, drummer and percussionist.

The band's fictional universe is explored through music videos, animated features, and interviews. Since Gorillaz's inception, the band has already dropped six studio albums, 19 music videos, three compilation albums, and three video albums.

Some of Gorillaz's projects include Demon Days, Plastic Beach, Humanz, Gorillaz, The Fall, G Sides, D-Sides, Laika Come Home, Feel Good Inc. EP, and more.

Gorillaz's most popular songs are "Feel Good Inc.," "Clint Eastwood," "On Melancholy Hill," "Dirty Harry," "DARE," "19-2000," "Andromeda," "Stylo," "Tomorrow Comes Today," "DoYaThing," "Rhinestone Eyes," "Strobelite," "Rock the House," "Empire Ants," "Let Me Out," "Kids With Guns," "Sleeping Powder," and more.
