After months of teasing, Chlöe has finally revealed the official release date for her highly-anticipated single"For The Night" and many fans are wondering what inspired her to write the song; was it about Gunna?
According to Uproxx, the 1/2 of Chlöe x Halle first teased fans about the song a few months ago along with two other unnamed tracks. At the time, she asked her supporters' opinion on which song she should put out next after releasing her hit "Surprise."
Her mentor Beyoncé reportedly decided to release "Surprise," and the singer had no problem with it because "when the Queen speaks, the Queen speaks, and that's all I'm gonna say."
The R&B star will release "For The Night" on October 28. A music video will also be dropping that day as teased on her Instagram.
In the brief video teaser, the songstress can be seen talking to someone special on the phone about the state of their relationship, saying she's ready for the world to know their connection.

However, the man rejected her as he was going through a lot. Chlöe can be seen upset by the situation, leading her to drop the call before the video turns black with background music of the song and a text that reads "For The Night 10/28."
Her sister, Halle Bailey, who's set to play Ariel in the live-action film "The Little Mermaid," appears to be supportive as she left several emojis in the video.
Chlöe's 'For The Night' Dedicated to Gunna?
In early reports, the "Ungodly Hour" singer spoke to her fans during a Twitter Spaces session where she explained the song's background.
She told listeners that she was going to reveal a "little secret" and although she might regret saying it, it would help with the streams.
"I don't even think he knows this! I wrote 'For The Night' about Gunna," she revealed. (via Complex)
Chlöe began working on the song after Gunna's appearance on The Breakfast Club a few months ago where he denied any romantic involvement with the singer, claiming they're only close friends.
Even though he denied the actual score of their relationship, online users continue to speculate about their romance after they were spotted in Los Angeles days before Valentine's Day.
