2014 marks the 30th anniversary of legendary record label Def Jam, and the Rick Rubin/Russell Simmons founded entity is looking to celebrate. Today (Aug. 14), it was announced that current and former Def Jam artists such as Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Jhene Aiko, Ja Rule and more will be putting on a concert in Brooklyn.

According to Pitchfork, the Def Jam Recordings 30 year anniversary concert will take place on Thursday, Oct. 16 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn to "celebrate a dynasty." The all-star lineup features current hip-hop greats, up and comers and established old school Def Jam favorites.

Who's on the bill? In addition to Ross, Chains, Aiko and Rule, DMX, Fabolous, Foxy Brown, Onyx, Method Man, Redman, Ashanti, Warren G, EPMD and Jeremih will be performing at the concert. And with a lineup that huge, don't be surprised if a surprise guest or two shows up, and it's almost a guarantee that this hip-hop names will be joining each other on stage.

Tickets for the Def Jam anniversary concert will go on sale on Wednesday, Aug. 20.

In addition to the big concert, Def Jam will also be releasing an anniversary box set.

According to the label's official website, the limited edition set will include a two-volume compilation album curated by Rubin,, a "special booklet" written by critically acclaimed writer Dan Charnas and a Def Jam 30 T-shirt.

Pre-orders are ongoing and include an access pass to a pre-sale for the Barclays Center show. The CD box set runs $99.98, with the vinyl edition costing $139.98.
