Kanye West may have been quiet over the past few weeks following his series of controversies, but it appears that he's back on social media as he recently used his Twitter account.

According to Billboard, the rapper appears to be testing the waters of the internet world as he wrote to his 32 million followers, "Testing Testing Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked."

Despite being a simple tweet, the post already amassed more than 720,000 likes and thousands of interactions from fans.

One of the most notable people in the reply section is Elon Musk who wrote, "Don't kill what ye hate Save what ye love."

Shortly after the post was shared, thousands of fans immediately bombarded the tweet with different reactions and memes.

"Make better music or you'll no longer get played in my hood," one joked, referring to West's discography.

One fan questioned whether the rapper was canceled or not due to the number of people who are still interacting with him, writing, "375K... in 2 hours... a testing tweet & yall tryna say he's not the goat? He's canceled? Canceled where?"

Just a few hours after posting his test tweet, West shared a follow-up post, writing "Shalom : )" a salutation mostly used by Jewish people whenever they interact.

Kanye West's Series of Controversies

Kanye West has been involved in many controversies in the past, but his recent moves inside and outside of social media caused a major uproar from different communities.

According to Augustman, it all began at his private show at last season's Paris Fashion Week. He was photographed wearing a t-shirt with the words "White Lives Matter" written on it.

Many people criticized him for his response to the Black Lives Matter movement.

In addition, he also made anti-Semitic comments on social media, writing "death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE." His post was later taken down by Twitter and Instagram as it violated their community guidelines.

At the time, West was locked out of his Twitter account.

Several fans and celebrities called him out for his move including his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian's family.

In addition, several brands have also cut ties with him including Balenciaga, Vogue, Creative Artists Agency, Gap, and the biggest one, Adidas, which cost him millions of dollars.
