However, Lily Collins has stated that she was rejected for many roles at the beginning of her acting career. Being Phil Collins' daughter - this could have been one way for her to get jobs - but she was not able to.
Was her father the reason?
The 33-year-old actress appeared on the cover of V magazine and told the publication, "I definitely got rejected a lot at the beginning. I got told "no" over and over and over again. The feedback was that I was too green. I was like, I don't know what that means."
"Like, green as in "go"? But really I needed a little more maturing, practice, and experience. I guess, for me, it was always really important to not take [rejection] as, "No, this isn't going to be for you." It was just, "No, not right now."
In the accompanying glamorous photoshoot, Lily wore a variety of fashion-forward looks and looked absolutely stunning.

It comes after Lily discussed the contrast between the classic sitcom "Sex and the City" and her own Netflix series "Emily in Paris", stating that her leading role in the latter is "more modern."
This week, the actress, who is the daughter of singer Phil Collins, explained that the Netflix series is not a typical romantic comedy, as Emily is more focused on her career, friends, travel, and education.
