One of the first things that spring to mind when you think of celebrities is that they have a huge amount of money. Of course, a lot of this goes towards preparing them for work, making sure that they are looked after, and living a luxury lifestyle that many can only dream of. However, quite a bit of that money isn't always made from films and tours. It can be made in other areas that they are passionate about, or areas that they are invited to as headlining acts.

#1 Influencer Marketing Schemes

You will find that a lot of celebrities are involved in influencer marketing. You have probably seen Chris Hemsworth in perfume adverts and Angelina Jolie talk passionately when advocating for charities. A lot of celebrities do this, either in a partnership to gain a specific audience or just as an employee, to earn more money for both the company and themselves, or to generate more knowledge about a cause in fanbases.

For example, this survey reveals just how much musicians such as Travis Scott earn from gaming partnerships with Fortnite. This is a very common thing for actors, musicians, and influencers to do to earn some money and involve themselves in other passions.

#2 Side Hustles

A lot of celebrities nowadays have side hustles. This isn't just partnerships with pre-existing businesses, but businesses that they run and own that they manage in their spare time. Good examples of this are Cameron Diaz (Avaline), Kevin Hart (Hart House and Gran Coramino), and Elton John (Elton John Eyewear). These not only help celebrities to explore their passions but also put money into causes that they are passionate about, such as Elton John's Eyewear putting a significant amount of money into the Elton John AIDs Foundation, a cause that continues to help many globally.

#3 Modeling

This isn't just appearing in adverts that help to fill the coffers of TV and movie stars. They can also be seen modeling on runways, showing off their designs, and being the centerpiece of a show. Incredibly famous examples of this are Gwendoline Christie walking for Vivian Westwood's autumn/winter collection (2019/2020) and Miley Cyrus for Marc Jacobs for the autumn/winter 2020 show, as well as the unforgettable Kyle MacLachlan and Jeff Goldblum for Prada in autumn/winter (2022/2023) show. This can be great for creating a buzz on social media, as well as letting celebrities show off their talent elsewhere in the industry.

To Wrap Everything Up

There are a huge number of ways that celebrities can earn money when they aren't acting and performing on the silver screen. Ways that they can begin to explore who they are, without needing to dip out of the limelight. These can include business endeavors, such as partnerships with gaming companies and beauty brands, or even starting their own businesses that help them to bring attention to causes that they feel are important or to explore other passions, or even through modeling to give themselves an experience they will never forget.
