Suicidal Tendencies confirmed Brandon Pertzborn's departure from the band and named his replacement.

Pertzborn served as the band's drummer for the past two years. Suicidal Tendencies originally had Carlos "Egie" Egert on drums, but they have since witnessed musicians come and go from the lineup.

This year, Mike Muir, Dean Pleasants, Tye Trujillo, and Ben Weinman will work with a new drummer after Pertzborn's exit.

Brandon Pertzborn Leaves Suicidal Tendencies

On Pertzborn's official Facebook account, the drummer expressed his gratitude for being able to play with Suicidal Tendencies in the past two years. He paid tribute to the members and assured them they would be his lifelong friends even after his exit.

"As a musician, the amount of growth I've experienced is priceless. I mean, come on - you can't be in a band with Mike Muir and not end up being pushed as a musician and come out better than you were before," he wrote.

The drummer revealed that his decision was based on several factors. Unfortunately, he had to make the "difficult decision" to leave Suicidal Tendencies.

He then welcomed the band's new drummer, who he called an "absolute monster" who would truly kill it with the bandmates.

Suicidal Tendencies Introduced New Drummer

In a separate post, Suicidal Tendencies shared photos of Mike Muir with Pertzborn, the other shows the musician and the former drummer performed on, alongside their new bandmate, Greyson Nekrutman.

Muir recounted the time he and Josh Paul started discussing having young musicians on board for a project. At that time, Nekrutman was brought up.

Upon hearing the drummer's name, Muir reportedly started doing research and saw Nekrutman's drum playing. The band then invited him to become part of their music group, and he accepted the offer.

Fans will see Nekrutman's first performance with Suicidal Tendencies starting at the Welcome to Rockville Festival.

Meanwhile, the new drummer shared another Facebook status to mark the beginning of his life's next chapter.

"It's an absolute honor to fill such an iconic drum throne. It wouldn't be possible without my brother @brandonpertzborn and I can't thank him enough for passing down the torch," he wrote. "He is an incredible role model and I am so excited for everyone to find out what he has next!"

Suicidal Tendencies released several hit records in the past decades like "Join the Army," "How Will I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can't Even Smile Today," "The Art of Rebellion," "Suicidal for Life," "Freedumb," "13," "World Gone Mad," and "Still Cyco Punk After All These Years."
