The world of music is mourning the death of Gordon Lightfoot, especially some of his closest friends in the industry, including Neil Young who shared a heartwarming post about the late legend.

Taking to his official website, the musician revealed that he spoke to his good pal weeks before passing and at the time, he "sounded happy."

Despite sounding positive, there was an underlying issue as he already canceled some of his shows and was "re-organizing" his touring.
