Avril Lavigne and her rumored boyfriend Tyga reportedly split a few months after they started dating and days after the news made rounds around the internet, the former's ex-fiancé, Mod Sun, teased a breakup song and many fans believe it was about the rocker.
According to Page Six, the musician took to his official Instagram account to share a video of himself in the streets while lipsyncing to a yet-to-be-released song titled "Strangers Again."
In the caption, the rocker wrote, "From strangers to lovers to strangers again...," adding that when the pre-save song hits 20,000, he would immediately release the track.
The video was only short and only featured a small portion of the song but the lyrics can be heard which reads:
"I remember loving you before we ever met / Saw you on a TV then I met you through a friend," he sings.
He further explained in the words of the song that he started talking to the person on the internet and their relationship went from being strangers to lovers and strangers again.
The outlet also noted that the teaser video was filmed in Paris, France, the same city where Mod Sun popped the question in 2022.
As of this writing, Mod Sun has yet to confirm whether the track is about his ex-fiancé or not.
Fans Think Mod Sun's New Song is About Avril Lavigne
After the 36-year-old singer, whose real name is Derek Ryan Smith, shared the post on the social media platform, fans immediately shared their speculations that the track might be about his relationship with the "Sk8r B0i" songstress.
"I'm excited! I love how it sounds, but I'm sorry about your heartbreak," one commented.

"I'm an [Avril Lavigne] fan since 2002 but I think she made a big mistake this time... You really loved her," another one chimed in.
Avil Lavigne, Tyga Split
In early reports, Avril Lavigne and Tyga, who started romance rumors when they were spotted packing PDA together a few months ago, reportedly split.
Sources close to the musician who spoke to Daily Mail claimed that Tyga was a "rebound" and he helped her get out of the "toxic relationship" with her former partner.
There were rumors that Lavigne cheated on Mod Sun in the past with the rapper, but the source said it wasn't true and the real reason why she left her rocker ex was she was "over his BS" and she allegedly considered Tyga as "an easy distraction."
As of this writing, neither of the couple has yet to address the rumors surrounding their split.
