Lana Del Rey can finally breathe a sigh of relief because her stalker has been arrested after a year of following her and sending her death threats.

According to reports, the man identified as Denys Mallet from New Brunswick, Canada, and he has been a thorn in Del Rey's side since January 2022.

Quebec City police finally had Mallet in their clutches, after a complaint had been lodged on June 29, and have no plans of letting him go in the foreseeable future.

They claim that Mallet had "knowingly made threats to cause death or bodily harm to L.D.R." within city limits, as well as other areas in Canada from January 2022 to July 6, 2023.

Lana Del Rey Run-Ins With Stalkers

Mallet had been arrested late last week, and was kept in jail for the time being, while he awaits his hearing about his bail.

As per Consequence of Sound, this is not the first man who had attempted to harm Del Rey. Back in 2018, a Florida man threatened to abduct the singer, and he was sentenced to a year in prison.

Although Del Rey has not commented on Mallet and the incidents leading up to his arrest, it seemed like the "Young and Beautiful" singer has been troubled.

Lana Del Rey Wants to Quit Music

On several occasions, the singer has considered quitting music because of the numerous problems that come with being a famous personality.

"I had no other choice than to continue, because I don't know how to do anything else," Del Rey said.

"Courage would have been to disappear. But as I was already famous, I took the easy was out. I continued to make records. There was no [plan] B."

The "Cherry" singer's fans rallied in support of her following the news of her stalker's arrest.

"He deserves life imprisonment," a fan wrote.

"Execution next," another added.

On the upside, it seems like Del Rey has no plans of slowing down with her career, and in fact, seems to be picking up speed.

After releasing her ninth studio album, "Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd," she is currently going around the world and the United States, including shows in London's Hyde Park, Mexico's Foro Sol, Chicago's Lollapalooza, San Francisco's Outside Lands, and more.
