When Taylor Swift suddenly announced her upcoming concert film, "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour," fans were not the only ones who were rattled by the news, even Hollywood executives were shocked.

According to reports, Swift will be premiering the concert film on Oct. 13, which also happened to be the initial premiere of the highly anticipated horror movie, "The Exorcist: Believer."

Fans were hopeful that the two movies would go head to head on the same day, just like the blockbuster movies "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer" a few months ago; fans have even coined the term "Exorswift," which mirrors "Barbenheimer."

However, Jason Blum, the CEO of Blumhouse, the studio that produced the next installment of the iconic "The Exorcist" movie franchise, decided otherwise.

"Look what you made me do. 'The Exorcist: Believer' moves to 10/6/23," Blum wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

'Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour' Concert Film

Blumhouse might have a reason to be a little bit petrified of Swift and her upcoming concert film, especially after news of how much money the presale has raked in.

According to reports, the first day of presale for "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" brought in $26 million, beating the record previously held by "Spider-Man: No Way Home" which had $16.9 million.

Swift has teamed up with AMC Theaters for the exclusive screening of the concert film, which will be priced at $19.89 for adults and $13.13 for children and seniors.

Taylor Swift Breaks New Record With Upcoming Concert Film

Just as the "Anti-Hero" has done several times now, she has set a new record, but this time, it is in an industry that she has previously no accolades.

"Taylor Swift is giving moviegoing fans and the entire industry the ultimate gift by bringing Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film to the big screen," said Jerramy Hainline from Fandango Ticketing.

"Not only is Taylor Swift's concert film the best first-day ticket seller of the year on Fandango, but the concert film is performing like the superhero she is and ranking among the best first-day ticket sellers of all time from franchises like Marvel, Star Wars, DC Comics and more."

Swift's fans are excited and glad to help the singer achieve a new milestone in her career as she ventures into the movie industry. Perhaps this is Swift's next venture? Only time will tell.
