Lil Baby was in the middle of performing at his concert in Memphis when someone in the crowd was reportedly shot which led the rapper to wrap up the show early. More recently, authorities believe that the incident was pre-meditated.

According to AP News, the Memphis Police Department confirmed online that there were police officers dispatched to the FedExForum to respond to a shooting on Thursday evening.

"A person was shot tonight at FedExForum during the Lil Baby concert. The incident is under investigation and we are fully cooperating with the Memphis Police Department," the statement reads.

Following this, it was noted that the man was immediately taken to a nearby hospital and was no longer in critical condition.

As of this writing, there were no other reported injuries aside from the man who was shot.

Lil Baby Concert: Police Says Shooting Was Premeditated

There is still no lead regarding the shooter, but authorities assured the public that they are doing their best in order to capture the unknown person.

The incident is still being investigated as they are unsure how the suspect was able to bring a firearm inside the arena, that could seat over 19,000.

Although the case is still not closed, police officers believe that the shooting could be premeditated.

What Happened to Lil Baby After Shooting?

According to WREG, Lil Baby was immediately escorted to be removed off stage when gunshots were heard at the venue.

One concertgoer noted that she heard a pop but at the time, she was not sure what was it as they were in a suite.

"Once we evacuated, did a head count. I'm still not sure what happened. It's not so sweet tonight, though," a fan named Clarissa Johnson said. (via Billboard)

Lil Baby's next scheduled show would be at the KFC YUM! Center in Louisville, KY, on September 8, 2023, but it was immediately canceled. However, no explanation was given to fans, but they were assured of refunds.

As of this writing, his show at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN, would still continue.

The rapper later took to his official X account (formerly known as Twitter) to assure his fans in Memphis that everybody would also get a refund.
