Reneé Rapp is one of the most promising pop acts of today and she has been showing everyone that she means business and her talent is immaculate.

One thing about Rapp is that if she's given the opportunity to sing, she will devour the microphone, even if she has to oust a Grammy winner herself.

Reneé Rapp Outsang Jennifer Hudson

In an episode of "The Jennifer Hudson Show," Reneé Rapp talked extensively about how Destiny's Child has contributed a huge influence on how she sings and performs.

Recalling when she was a child, Rapp said that she used to perform at a girl group called "Daddy's Little Girls."

"That's how I think of it much later in my life," Rapp laughed. "I'm like, is this not weird? For sure, like absolutely."

In commemorating the rather embarrassing girl group, Rapp reached back from her soul and performed a Destiny's Child hit with Hudson.

As the two sang "Dangerously In Love," many on social media noticed that Rapp seemed to have outsang Jennifer Hudson, who is widely considered a powerhouse vocalist.

"This song was kicking Jennifer's ass lol," a user wrote.

"I'm glad I wasn't the only one that noticed that. Auntie was struggling," another echoed.

"Reneé Rapp ate Jennifer up! She sounds beautiful! This is not the song for Jennifer's voice!" someone agreed.

"Reneé was eating JHud up.... I could tell Ms Hudson wanted to get two or three octave LOUDER," a fourth fan chimed in.

Many praised Rapp for her vocal prowess and confidence.

"Damn I didn't know Renee could sing like this. Maybe she should branch out and do some RnB. Wow I just got chills with the harmonies," a user said on YouTube.

"Renee voice has way too much soul to only dabble in the pop genre type music. Hopefully when she becomes even more famous she can make a RnB album," someone wished.

"Reneé reminds me so much of the Legends in their early days. Going on Talk Shows and not being afraid to show their talent! Hope she's here for a long time " another wrote.

Reneé Rapp Made Broadway Her Stepping Stone

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the 2018 Jimmy Awards winner said that she only wanted the job of starring as Regina George in "Mean Girls: The Musical on Broadway" if only the producers, Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels, help her in the future.

"I told them, 'I will only take this job if you promise to help me in my music career one day. I want to be a pop star. I do not want to do this forever."

Rapp is reprising her role in the film adaptation of "Mean Girls: The Musical" in January 2024.
